A series of 12 illustrations by Andrey Gordeev showing trucking around the world, full of funny stereotypes. The details make these illustrations very entertaining and you can spend around two minutes checking everything on each.
The guys from three legged legs have created a great ad for Zune. It’s basically a bunch of zombies going around a city during the night biting people, infecting them and turning them into dancing zombies. Great idea to communicate Zune’s idea of sharing. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any puppets, which I loved as a kid (the muppets ruled). You can check their website and see the whole process that went into creating the whole video, I thought was really interesting to see how this type of things are produced. The characters were created by Anrew Hem who creates some great illustrations and the puppets were created by Adam Parker Smith who creates really interesting sculptures.
Music: Fancy Footwork by Chromeo
A short documentary by Hillman Curtis about Stefan Sagmeister’s exhibition of his book “Things I have learned in my life so far”, which is a great source of inspiration and motivation as a design student and as a person in general. In the video Mr. Curtis talks with designers like Milton Glasser, Bob Gill, Massimo Vignelli, and Debbie Millman. Great inside look at this great designer’s mind.
Starbucks always has great websites. Their new one promoting their Starbucks at Home products.
I really like the whole chalk board theme found through the whole website. The illustration and type is great and it really made me go through all of their blends just to see the artwork. Definitely great use of flash.
Great sculpture created by Tsang Cheung-shing, a ceramics tutor and product designer from Hong Kong. It represents typical Hong Kong beverage called Yuanyang that consist of a mixture of coffee and tea.
Bjork’s new video is so amazing. I really dig the whole molding clay through out the video. The whole thing is an amazing piece of work. It really shows a lot of dedication by the team from Encyclopedia Pictura.
Conrad Ostwald’s motion graphics reel is absurdly good and funny as well. It shows how versatile he is while poking fun at how most reels are now a days. Definitely check out this great sample of motion graphics.
Steve Scott
Great Illustrator from Australia, with a very refreshing style, seems very influences by the Yellow Submarine movie which is obvious in this music video that is so well done. I usually don’t see whole videos online but this really captured me
Non-Format
Great design studio based in London with some very modern design and really cool typographic treatments fused with clean and sharp illustrations.
Totally Amazing Posters!
Great collection of vintage posters. I really eat this stuff up. I wished that posters were still designed like this, were information is so minimal but the design is so direct there is no need to have more information.
I wished the website had more background information about the posters, like who designed.
New Eboy Poster
Really great poster by Eboy. They create extremely cool and detailed isometric pixel art. This is his new poster full of great detail. Really worth spending some time going through the whole thing.
